About Me
I live in and enjoy Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - a sub-tropical city of great appeal (see the skyline, above).
I am a beginner to blogging, eager to learn, but aware of having a way to go yet. This blog is still in an exploratory phase, and I’m only beginning to see which way it will go.
What I would like to do is provide you with some answers and comments on a few topics that I believe I know something about, such as education, software I use and value, books I can recommend (both fiction and factual), places I have visited, and people I have met. There will be no politics, except by implication.

It’s the Brisbane skyline; my wife, Katherine, took the picture - actually it’s reversed left-to-right, so that there is a nice sky background for the title!
